Biography

Yoon Mi Rae, also known as Tasha, was born on May 31, 1981 in Portland, Texas. She is an Afro/Korean (African American father and Korean mother) Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap singer.

In 1995 she began looking for members to form a band that became known as Uptown. They debuted in South Korea in 1997, when she was only 16 years old.

In 1999, she formed Tashannie, a Hip-Hop and R&B project where she was the main rapper, along with Annie Lee. Since then, both her lyrics and music began to attract attention and her popularity grew.

In 2000 the group was forced to break up due to a scandal. Preparing her debut as a solo artist, in 2001 she began her solo career under the pseudonym “T”.

She was one of the 3 judges in the 3rd season of Supertar K, and as of October 2012, she will also be part of the judging panel for Season 4.
