She is a South Korean rapper, lyricist, composer, pianist and represented by DLine Media Art (디라인 아트 미디어). She is known for being the fastest female rapper in Korea with the exception of Outsider. Their first EP. “E.via aka Happy Evil” was released on May 18, 2009. This included a collaboration with singer Sori (소리), which gained her media attention and popularity. Controversy arose when “Oppa! Can I do it?” the first single from E.Via’s debut Album, was banned from being performed on Music Bank, due to the song’s lyrics with lewd content and various slang words. E.Via was banned after the performance of some of her songs from her debut album on other music programs because the lyrics were considered suggestive and provocative despite the ban, E.Via’s album and “Oppa! Can I do it?” received overwhelming responses on online music sites.
The next song she performed was “Shake” from her mini-album Must Have. The music video was released on April 29, 2010. E.Via previously changed her name to Napper.
E.Via’s debut started with problems as she was quickly banned because the song was vulgar and provocative according to one of the biggest TV stations in South Korea. She was not prevented from trying to perform in the big music programs, but later it was discovered that the banning of her debut was a publicity stunt. Fans started to be interested in her as she is a cute girl with a very vulgar tongue in her songs, in an interview she confessed that “I have never kissed a boy before”, but then she opens her mouth and starts spitting out crazy songs. The clash between the image and the music style is original and makes her completely wonderful.
Tymee and breach of contract with Dline Art Media
In early 2013 she changed her name from E.Via to Tymee after she alleged that they did not make the corresponding payments for her previous albums. Consequently, she had to stop using the name E.Via in any of her future promotions. She left Dline Art Media commenting as follows: “Due to financial problems as well as other real problems, I have decided to resume music and leave my company and promote on my own. Due to untold hardships and unbearable exhaustion. I have come to the conclusion to make music on my own. her agency owed her 2,700,000 million won, Tymee continued: “Although it was hard to accept that the work I have done for the past 2 years only amounted to so much, I restrained myself by thinking about the music I will be able to make freely in the future”. The agency wanted to renew her contract, but Tymee refused as she wanted to make her own way in her career. The agency’s representative got angry and threw her a.
