- Her dream of becoming a singer was born when she saw Namie Amuro then that dream deepened when she saw Rain and Lee Hyo Ri all are their role models.
- She lived for a time in Osaka as a result of the dance academy she and her sister attended. There she met Word and to Yuta from NCT all three practiced at the same academy before becoming trainees.
- She and her sister uploaded a video to YouTube where they both danced. The JYP casting team contacted them after the video caught their attention. With this they were both given an audition opportunity, but her sister did not get in.Momo noticed that her sister felt very bad about the situation and hesitated (about staying in JYP Entertainment ), which she changed her mind after her parents and sister supported her and convinced her to do what she wanted to do.
- She auditioned with her sister on April 13, 2012.
- She was known for working hard and devoting a lot of time to her practices during her time as an apprentice. She usually practiced from noon until ten o’clock at night, but there were days when she could stay alone until after dawn.
- She was the eighth trainee to be revealed for the program SIXTEEN although she was eliminated during the competition, during the final election, with the vote of the staff members of JYP Entertainment and of the same J.Y. Park it was decided that it would be part of TWICE at the end of the program J.Y. Park they just say: “Momo, I always thought that you would be needed in TWICE even, the whole team of artists, repertoire (A&R) and coaches… They all chose you as the hardest working and most committed member… Please continue to work so hard… Congratulations! “.
- At the KBS Song Festival 2016 she presented “Be Mine ” of INFINITE with Seoul Gi from Red Velvet, Chung Ha, Yoo Jung from I.O.I and SinB from GFRIEND after the presentation, Momo was trending on Naver.
- She had to cancel her studies to become a trainee, remaining in middle school.
- On January 02, 2020, both the SJ Label agency and JYP confirm that Momo and Hee Chul they are dating. On July 08, 2021 JYP confirmed that the two ended the relationship.
