Lee Joon was in a hotel during the earthquake, and after an hour of evacuation, he updated his Instagram to assure his fans that he was safe. His agency Prain TPC stated, “There were many concerns about the strong earthquake that took place a day before the meeting, but we made several changes to the schedule and it was carried out after talking with local promoters and security guards. We made safety our top priority.”
  • He debuted as a solo artist on October 18, 2017 with his single “What I Wanna Give.” The song and lyrics were written by Thunder, who was in MBLAQ with Lee Joon before the two announced their departure from the group in 2014. The song will be the first solo song Lee Joon released since his debut and the lyrics are a reflection of how much he cares about his fans who have been by his side for a long time.
  • On January 1, 2018, it was confirmed that he is romantically involved with actress Young So Min since Oct. 2017. The two met while starring in the drama Father is Strange.
  • He began his military service on October 24, 2017. On March 30, 2018, his agency Prain TPC released an official statement to announce that the actor is transitioning from active duty to public service in his military service due to his panic disorder. He concluded his military service on December 19, 2019.
