About L/Myungsoo (INFINITE)


Kim Myungsoo, born March 13, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea, was a model in a shopping mall before making his Infinite debut.

He attended Duk-soo High School and graduated from Daekyung University on February 15, 2013, along with members Sungkyu, Sungyeol, Hoya and Dongwoo, majoring in practical music.In 2010, L made his debut with Infinite with the single “Come Back Again” as the third lead vocalist and visual of the group.

On May 15, 2013, L released his photo book titled “L’s Bravo Viewtiful,” showcasing photos taken by him during a 93-day trip. The book was released in two versions – a Korean version and a Japanese version.

On September 1, 2013, Woollim Entertainment released the second part of L’s Bravo Viewtiful teaser and it was revealed that it will be released on September 25 in Korea and September 28 in Japan.


In 2010, Myungsoo debuted with Infinite with the single “Come Back Again” as the group’s visual vocalist. A new sub-unit unit, INFINITE F, composed of Sungyeol, Myungsoo and Sungjong was announced. The song Heartbeat was made and has another song in Season 2. They are set to debut sometime in the future.

In 2010, Infinite appeared for the first time on the reality show You Are My Oppa introduced the group before making their debut on June 9. They performed songs from their first EP First Invasion with the singles “Come Back Again” and “está de vuelta”.

Debut in Japan

Infinite unofficially debuted in Japan with their first Japanese single To-Ra-Wa on January 26, 2011 Immediately following its launch, its Evolution Album reached number 3 on real-time charts for sales in Korea. The song topped # 1 for ringtones in the daily charts of the K-POP section of Japan’s top mobile website. Infinito released several individual rental songs including “She’s Back,” “BTD (Before Sunrise),” and “More Than Nothing” before it officially debuted in Japan. Infinito made his official debut with the Japanese version of “BTD”. “BTD” was released on November 19, 2011. The single was released in three versions, a CD + Photobook including 40 pages of Photo Album, CD + DVD including its first Japanese showcase at Zepp Tokyo on July 21, 2011, as well as “BTD”‘s music video and the making-of, and the regular edition. All editions comes with a random (1 of 7) trading cards. The B-side of the single is “Can U Smile”, a new version of their second mini album. EVOLUTION found on the third track of his first solo album Inspirit.

In December 2011, they digitally released their first Christmas song “White Confession (Lately)”.


On May 15, 2013, Myungsoo released his photo essay book titled “L’s Bravo Viewtiful”, which shows photos taken by him on a 93-day trip. The book was released in two versions – a Korean one and a Japanese one. The bestseller reached #1 in pre-orders on online bookstores such as Yes24 and Kyobo, and sold out quickly after the release.

Woollim Entertainment released L’s Bravo Viewtiful Part 2 on September 25, 2013 in Korea and September 28, 2013 in Japan. Like its predecessor, the book also made it on the bestseller list.

Acting Career

  • Myungsoo made his acting debut in 2011 with the character of “Jiu” in the Japanese drama that aired on TV Asahi.
  • In 2012, he played guitarist Lee Hyun Soo in the network drama TVN ” Shut Up Flower Boy Band “and was part of the cast of the network’s MBC Sitcom “What is Mom?
  • In 2013, he was featured in the network’s romantic horror drama SBS ” Master’s Sun “as the young version of the character from So Ji Sub Joo Joong Won
  • In 2014, he played the role of Secretary Gil in the drama Cunning Single Lady co-starring Joo Sang Wook and Lee Min Jung.
  • August 1, 2014, Woollim Entertainment confirmed that Myungsoo would be performing together with Rain and Krystal from F (x) in the drama of the chain SBS & She’s So Lovable he will play the role of the second male lead, Si Woo who is the visual of the popular K-Pop group Infinite Power and falls deeply in love with Yoon Se Na (Krystal the drama will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting September 17
  • L has been confirmed to be part of the new SBS drama ” The Time We Were Not In Love “His character, Sung Jae, will be an intern at Oh Hana’s company ([[Ha Ji won])

  • On October 12, 2016, a JTBC source revealed the news, saying. “We are currently considering L from INFINITE for the upcoming drama ‘ Solomon’s Perjury (jTBC) ‘ (working title). It has not yet been confirmed.”
  • On November 1, 2016, a source from ” Solomon’s Perjury (jTBC) ” confirmed. “Due to problems related to his schedules, L will not be able to appear (in the drama). He wanted to join the drama, but eventually turned it down.” Woollim Entertainment also commented on November 1 ” (L) He is currently finishing the 4 episodes of the drama ‘…The Day After We Broke Up ‘ (working title) and has not yet decided anything about his next project.”
  • After rumors that L was in talks for MBC’s next historical drama Ruler: Master of the Mask confirmed that he will be playing the character of a false king named Lee Sun who comes from the extremely low class, the drama will air sometime in the first half of 2017 and for this project has already been confirmed to Yoo Seung Ho and to Kim So Hyun.

Voice Performance

Myungsoo and other members of INFINITE did the dubbing voice for the “Tienda Wara” cartoon from December 27, 2011 to March 27, 2012.
