Biography
Jung Jin Hyeong initially became known in 2014 for his appearance on the survival show Mix & Matchfrom YG Entertainment during his time on the show, he was considered one of the new contenders but was eliminated in episode 9, losing the opportunity to make his debut on the show iKON after his time in the program, he continued his training under the same agency.
On March 3, 2015, he decided to leave YG Entertainment due to personal reasons and the agency chose to respect his decisions.
In early 2017, he signed a contract with MYJ Entertainment.
2017: Debut of his first single “Calling You”.
On July 31, he returned to the music scene by unveiling his debut single “Calling You”, a chill lounge genre song with a mix of trap.
During his debut, he gave an interview to Bnt International where he spoke about his time after Mix & Match.“I was continually alone. There were a lot of things I had to deal with because I was alone, so I was mentally stressed.” added “The good thing about being a solo artist is that you don’t need to integrate yourself into other people’s opinions. I can do whatever I want.” He also expressed his desire to focus on hip-hop and R&B music.
Back with “Tru”
On October 15, their second single “Tru” was unveiled with the collaboration of Sik-K.
2018: Change of agency
After many rumors about his departure from S.F.R. Entertainment, it has been confirmed that he will be joining AXIS after appearing in the “Upcoming Artists” section of the agency’s website, this news was already being speculated about long before due to his close relationship and interactions with the employees of the agency AXIS via Instagram and the obvious departure from his previous agency.
Entry to AXIS and member of the “ambitious ambition” team
On October 10, he was revealed as the first member of ambitious ambition with his new stage name “Angelo”. This team consists of seven members who are creators, each with a different and individual “ambition”, which includes singing, acting, DJing, producing and much more. AXIS plans to partner with the best agencies to support “team aa” members in their growth and promotions, be it through dramas, movies, original content, music releases, etc. Angelo’s ambition is to express himself through inherence and seek to be stylish and talented.
2019: New musical trajectory
After his departure from AXIS, Jung Jin Hyeong seems to have decided to pursue music independently.
