About JR

JR was born in Kangwon-do, Kangreung, a place far away from Seoul, so he never had the idea of becoming an idol. One day while on his way to school, he auditioned for Pledis. He told his parents but they were against the idea. An agent of Pledis talked to his father, told him that he was looking for a boy like JR to debut in a group and make him an idol. With that, he convinced him and he agreed to give permission. After that, he trained since he was 16 years old for Pledis.
