• In 2011, he was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome, internal disc disruption, facet joint syndrome, irregular chest pain and chronic pain. These are symptoms of ’12th rib syndrome’, a rare disorder where one experiences sudden pain and requires ongoing medication although he does not have a major limitation in his physical activities and daily living
• In March 2015, Seul Ong decided to join Sidus HQ after the termination of his contract with JYP Entertainment.
• He began his mandatory military service on November 28, 2017.
• On April 5, 2018, it was reported that Im Seul Ong moved from active duty to reservist status because his 12th rib syndromes worsened with training and it was deemed impossible to combine military life with medical treatment.
• On September 11, 2018, Im Seulong’s agency Sidus HQ revealed that his contract with the actor and singer expired. He is expected to start looking for a new agency after being discharged from the military.
• On August 4, police stated that Im Seul Ong had been involved in a car accident in the late hours of August 1. According to Seoul Seobu Police Station, Im Seul Ong was driving his SUV on a road in Eunpyeong, Seoul, at 11:50 pm KST while it was raining, when he hit a man who was crossing the street even though the pedestrian signal light was red. The man was transported to the hospital but died shortly after due to his injuries.
