• He won the seventh final audition to join JYP in 2010, as the best vocalist.
• In 2013 he left JYP and participated in the open auditions, where he was selected by 3 agencies (CUBE, SONY Music and Nega Network), in the end he chose CUBE.
• For the CUBE auditions, Hui sang the song “Isn’t he lovely?” by Stevie Wonder.
• He is the third official member of PENTAGON.
• On April 4, it was announced that it would be part of a new joint sub-unit of Cube Ent. Triple H together with HyunA e E’DAWN.
• On Aug. 2, 2018, following rumors of a possible relationship with Soo Jin from (G)I-DLE, CUBE Entertainment the company of both artists confirmed that they had been dating but had recently broken up.
• On October 19, 2020, Cube Entertainment stated that HUI will begin his enlistment at the military training center on December 3. After receiving a 4-week basic training, he will serve as a public service worker.
