- On March 8, 2019, Dongwoo’s agency Woolim Entertainment revealed that the artist applied for the 364th recruit police selection exam, but failed the 1st round of exams, therefore he will enlist as an active-duty soldier.
- On April 5, 2019, his military enlistment date was confirmed for April 15 as an active soldier. He concluded military service on November 15, 2020.
- On March 31, 2021, it was announced that Dong Woo, along with Sung Yeol, left Woollim Entertainment after their exclusive contract expired.
- On October 1, 2021, Big Boss Entertainment officially announced that Dong Woo signed an exclusive contract with the agency.
Biography
Debut
In 2010, Dong Woo made his debut with INFINITE with the single “Come Back Again” as the group’s lead rapper and first dancer, his first mini-album titled “First Invasion”, was released on June 9, 2010, the same day he debuted through a showcase.
Sub-unit: INFINITE H
It was announced by a representative that: “after finishing its activities in Japan, Dongwoo and Hoya have started recording for the album of INFINITE H and that they would be promoting as a subunit in 2013 INFINITE H is a subunit of the INFINITE made up of Dongwoo and Hoya the subunit is focused on the Hip-Hop/Rap genre INFINITE H debuted on January 10, 2013, on the program M! Countdown as soon as the album was released, “Special Girl” was ranked #1 on Naver, Daum, Nate, and other major music charts.
