- He chose his stage name in the “easiest” way according to him. Since his real name is “Shin Hyo Sub” when mentioned quickly it sounds like “Shi Shup”, and he thought that when he wrote it down it would be “CSub” (English); he also confessed that he has very bad penmanship and when he showed it to a friend he asked him if he would say “Crush” instead of “CSub”, which Crush liked better than the one he had chosen. That was how his stage name was born.

- He was in a duet with the rapper Cheetah called “Masterpiece”.
- On June 4, 2019, Crush announced via his Instagram that as of the date he has terminated his contract with Amoeba Culture, with whom he was with for the past six years, and has created a one-man agency.

Biography
Pre-Debut
Crush before his debut, he had helped introduce and produce songs for some hip-hop and R&B singers such as Jay Park, Zion.T, Dynamic Duo, Rhythm Power, Loco, Simon D, Yang Dong Geun, and more.
Debut
On December 7, 2012, Crush made its official debut with the release of its first single ‘Red Dress’. in collaboration with TakeOne.
On February 14, 2013, Crush released two singles, ‘Crush On You and ‘Where Do You Wanna Go? together with Taewan and Gary.
On April 2, 2014, he released his third single titled ‘Sometimes’ on June 5, 2014, Crush released its first full-length album entitled ‘…Crush On You which also reached high positions in the music rankings.
In August, he sang ‘Sleepless Night’. for the OST of the SBS television series It’s Okay, That’s Love on October 30, 2014, he released his fourth single titled ‘….SOFA.
On February 12, 2015, he collaborated with Zion.T for the release of the single ‘Just on July 9, 2015, he released his fifth single titled ‘….Oasis’. in collaboration with Zico from Block B he also performed his first solo concert 1st solo concert -Crush On You-. from November 13 to 14.
On January 22, 2016, Crush made its comeback with the release of its sixth single titled ‘Don’t Forget with the collaboration of Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation. and on January 27, he won first place in the Show Champion this is his first victory in a music program.
On May 5, 2016, two music videos were released to promote their first mini-album titled ‘Interlude’. the first one is entitled ‘9 to 5′. and the second promotional single is titled ‘Woo Ah’ on May 6, 2016, Crush released its first mini-album titled ‘Interlude’..
On October 14, 2016, Crush released its second mini-album titled ‘Wonderlust’. also released the music video for its title track ‘Fall’, achieved a top position in the Korean charts and an all-kill.
