  • Ever since elementary school, she wanted to become a singer. She auditioned for JYP Entertainment and 15 times for the SM Entertainment however, it was rejected at every opportunity.
  • In high school she practiced singing at night and went to auditions with her parents’ consent. Choa failed many auditions before she was accepted.
  • She wanted to enter Korea’s largest music university, but her conservative father expected her to get a “normal” job, so she enrolled at Inha Technical College to study Aviation Business Administration and graduated with a degree in Aviation Business Administration.
  • Before joining FNC Entertainment, Choa was a saleswoman for IPTV packaged goods, where she recorded good sales, even reaching No. 1 among all employees. Using her salary of ₩ 5 million KRW ($4,418 USD), she trained and practiced even harder with the goal of auditioning for a girl group.

They said, “In terms of leaving the group, we are in the process of talking about it. It has not been decided. We will decide on future steps after further discussion.”
    • On June 30, 2019, it was reported that after several discussions it was decided that Choa would leave AOA. FNC Entertainment confirmed the news in its official statement.
  • On May 13, 2019, it was belatedly reported that Choa had left FNC Entertainment for good following the termination of her contract.
