- He was an outstanding participant in Phantom Singer 2 due to the way he devised strategies in each competition. The most remarkable thing was that during his participation in the program, he only lost once.
- On several occasions he has mentioned that his partner’s voice, Ko Woo Rim is his favorite, which is why he wanted to sing along with him in the 2vs2 competition in Phantom Singer 2.
- He is usually credited with the formation of Forestella. During an episode of Phantom Singer 2, Kang Hyung Ho expressed that Min Gyu is a bridge that connects the individual abilities of each member.
- The revised romanization of his name is Cho Min Gyu, but during a live broadcast on V-LIVE, the artist revealed that due to a mistake, his name ended up being registered as Cho Min Gue. On some sites it can also be found as Cho Min Kyu.
