Cube Entertainment/Play CUBE Entertainmentis a South Korean record label, founded in 2006 by Hong Seung Sung, a former employee of JYP Entertainment and Shin Jung Hwa. Some of the CUBE and JYP artists were once trained together. CUBE is distributed by Universal Music Korea
A-Cube(Plan A) was a sister company of Cube Entertainmentfounded in 2011 however in 2016 it became independent under the leadership of LOENleaving ties with CUBE
In August 2014 Cube merges with its subsidiary Cube DC obtaining 100% of the shares of that company in this way the artists belonging to the company are at the disposal of Cube Entertainment
Cube has performed two concerts as a full company which are
- 2011 United Cube Concert(First company to visit Latin America)
- 2013 United Cube Concert(China, Korea & Japan)
- 2018: United Cube Concert (Corea)
Actually HQ (SidusHQ) bought shares of CUBE, it is said that they bought a high value of shares, this is related to the disintegration of 4minute, since 4minute was not having the success they had a year ago, and Hyuna alone was a success
In March 2016, Cube Entertainment opened a new subsidiary called Starline Entertainment. Singers Wax and Shin Ji Hoon are currently under this subsidiary
In June 2018 “United Cube”, released the song “One Step”, participating Jo Kwon, Eun Kwangy Hyun Sikfrom BTOB, Sorny Seung Heefrom CLC, Huiy Jin Hofrom PENTAGONy Minniey Mi Yeonfrom (G)I-DLE
